Career and service
His experience includes contracting and acquisition work across defense technology, infrastructure, federal health care, Army acquisition, and public education. He has worked with the Defense Information Systems Agency, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Department of Veterans Affairs, and U.S. Army Mission and Installation Contracting Command. His roles have included division chief, supervisory contracting officer, section chief, senior contracting officer, and contract specialist.
Klemmer also served in the U.S. Army as a Human Resources Specialist. His assignments included squad leader, platoon guide, battle captain, and Command Post of the Future operator.
