The Army reported that the Enterprise SATCOM Gateway–Landstuhl was named DISA Europe’s 2016 European Gateway Facility of the Year in the large-gateway category. The facility was part of the 102nd Strategic Signal Battalion and 2nd Theater Signal Brigade.

According to the article, the facility was the largest Army-operated SATCOM facility outside the continental United States and provided satellite internet services to Department of Defense and U.S. government users across five continents and three oceans.
