The record

The Army reported that Department of Defense Information Network Station Livorno, part of the 509th Signal Battalion and 2nd Signal Brigade, received the fiscal-year 2017 Defense Information Systems Network facility-of-the-year award in the Category I small-transmission-facility category.

The station provided command, control, communications, computers, and information-management support for Army Garrison Italy, Army Field Support Battalion–Africa, and other tenant organizations at Camp Darby and Leghorn Army Depot.
